As President and Chief Executive Officer and a Shareholder of Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, Joe Gill provides strategic leadership and vision for one of the industry’s foremost golf management and landscape organizations. Under Gill’s direction, Landmark Golf continues to uphold its reputation for excellence in golf course development, operations, and agronomic management. In 2023, Gill launched a new division of Landmark Golf, expanding the company into landscape maintenance, design and construction. Gill believes there is a big opportunity in the Coachella Valley to highlight and showcase Landmark’s superior golf course maintenance capabilities in the residential & commercial landscape maintenance market.
With a steadfast commitment to quality, innovation, and environmental sustainability, Gill oversees all facets of the company’s business, guiding an exceptional team dedicated to delivering superior client service and maintaining world-class facilities and communities. He brings extensive experience, with over 21 years in executive management, business development, and operational excellence within the golf and hospitality sectors. Gill has had direct oversight and leadership with over 25 premier golf facilities in Southern California, such as SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, CA. Gill holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
Through Gill’s leadership, Landmark Golf & Landscape Services remains at the forefront of creating and managing exceptional environments that reflect the company’s enduring tradition of integrity, performance, and distinction.



Steven Burt’s career spans over 35 years in the landscape industry. Burt is considered by many to be a pioneer in developing revolutionary landscape practices. Two of those practices involved developing new safety practices in insuring employee safety and a crane hoist system for loading debris that every large-scale landscape company in Southern California uses today. Burt’s former company “Steven Burt and Associates Inc.”, now called Vintage Landscape and Vintage Nursery in Bermuda Dunes, CA has been in business for 33 years.
After selling the company in 2006, Burt founded a successful non-profit organization that currently serves thousands of residents in the Coachella Valley.
Since 2015, Burt has been a landscape consultant to a number of highly successful landscape firms looking to expand their operations in the Coachella Valley, Denver and Telluride, Colorado.
After moving back to the Coachella Valley last year from Telluride, with his wife Kelly, and Border Collie Harper, Burt joined the team at Landmark Golf & Landscape Services to lead our golf and landscape division expansion. The combining of golf maintenance/operations along with residential and commercial landscape services has been a goal for both Burt and Landmark for over 20 years.



Christopher Meshack is the Chief Financial Officer of Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, bringing more than 20 years of financial leadership, operational strategy, and technology-driven business expertise to the organization. With a background spanning in healthcare, capital markets, media, and multi-entity corporate environments, Meshack leads Landmark’s financial operations with a disciplined focus on growth, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Before joining Landmark, Meshack held Senior Financial Analyst roles across several major organizations and was promoted to Budget Manager at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. Meshack has built enterprise-level budgeting systems, automated reporting platforms, and advanced forecasting tools that improve decision-making and strengthen financial accountability.
At Landmark, Meshack oversees corporate finance, multi-company accounting, capital planning, budgeting & forecasting, strategic financial reporting, investor & banking relationships, and financial systems development. His leadership supports Landmark’s mission of operational excellence and continued expansion across its golf and hospitality portfolio. Meshack holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, San Bernardino, and maintains professional licenses in real estate, life insurance, and federal and state tax preparation.



Richard Gigoux is an accomplished Golf Course Superintendent and the Director of Operations at Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, where he oversees the maintenance, agronomy, and landscape management of premier golf facilities maintained by Landmark Golf. With a career in golf course maintenance spanning over 20 years, with 15 years as a Golf Course Superintendent, Gigoux has developed a reputation for elevating course conditions through innovative maintenance practices, data-driven resource management, and sustainable turf programs.
At Landmark, Gigoux leads a skilled team responsible for delivering top-tier playing surfaces and immaculate landscapes that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence. His leadership extends beyond the fairways—driving operational efficiency, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration between maintenance, design, and client service teams.
A Class A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), Gigoux remains actively engaged in professional development and industry innovation. He is passionate about creating memorable golf experiences while preserving the natural beauty and integrity of every course under his care.




Jeff Walser serves as Senior Vice President of Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, bringing over 39 years of experience as a Class A PGA Professional. His extensive background includes executive management, operations, and direct oversight of premier Southern California golf facilities such as PGA West, La Quinta Hotel Golf Club, and Landmark Golf Club.
Throughout his career, Jeff has excelled in operational leadership, customer service, and collaboration with ownership groups to enhance revenue performance and agronomic standards across facilities.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Jeff was a member of the 1980 NCAA Team Championship squad and earned NCAA Third Team All-American honors.
At Landmark, Jeff also serves as General Manager and Director of Golf for The Lights at Indio Golf Course, a fully lighted par-3 facility in Indio, California. A new clubhouse is currently under development, with an anticipated opening in 2026.



Eric Montiel is a Lead Account Manager with Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, where he supports the maintenance, operations, and day-to-day performance of properties across Landmark’s landscape portfolio. With more than 15 years of experience in landscape maintenance and field operations, Montiel has built a reputation for maintaining high standards through hands-on leadership and practical, solutions-driven management.
At Landmark, Montiel works closely with field teams and clients to ensure landscapes reflect the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and consistency. His leadership extends beyond daily operations, focusing on improving efficiency, mentoring staff, and implementing best practices that support long-term property performance.
A Desert Hot Springs native, Montiel began his career in Los Angeles County, where he spent 10 years gaining experience across a wide range of commercial and residential properties. He later returned to the Coachella Valley, bringing back his expertise, leadership, and commitment to continuous improvement for every property under his care.



Randy Duncan serves as Landmark Golf’s General Manager/Director of Golf at SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, CA. Duncan first joined Landmark Golf in 1992 where he worked at La Quinta Resort’s Mountain and Dunes golf courses. It was here that Duncan grew his leadership skills and his passion for the game of golf quickly stood out. At just 26 years old, Duncan became the Head Golf Professional managing 36 holes and 30 staff members. Following his tenure at La Quinta Resort, Duncan served in management roles at Westin Mission Hills and Heritage Palms Golf Club.
In 2004, Duncan made the move back to Landmark Golf where he took on his current role as General Manager/Director of Golf at SilverRock Resort. Over Duncan’s 21-year tenure at SilverRock Resort, he has overseen the Resort’s growth into one of the Coachella Valley’s premier golf destinations. Under his leadership, SilverRock has earned multiple accolades, including recognition as one of the best golf courses in the Palm Springs area, and generated more than $5.5 million in annual revenue. Duncan directly manages an all-star team of over 60 employees, including five department heads and was instrumental in hosting the PGA Tour’s Bob Hope Classic Tournament from 2008 through 2011.
Duncan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from San Diego State University in 1992
and played Division 1 Collegiate Golf as an Aztec. Beyond his professional achievements, Duncan is a proud father of two. His son, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, currently serves as a helicopter pilot stationed in Coronado, California. His daughter is a senior at Oregon State University.



As Senior Agronomist at Landmark Golf & Landscape Services, Roger Compton brings extensive expertise in turfgrass management, soil science, and sustainable landscape practices to support the company’s commitment to excellence in golf course and landscape maintenance. With over 50 years of experience in golf course agronomy and horticulture, with 40+ years in the Coachella Valley, Compton specializes in developing innovative golf course agronomic programs that enhance turf performance, optimize resource use, and ensure environmental stewardship across Landmark’s diverse portfolio of projects. Compton recently retired as Golf Course Superintendent at Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA where he worked for 30 years and joined the Landmark Team, who coincidently brought Compton to the desert.
In this leadership role, Compton oversees agronomic strategy, conducts site evaluations, and collaborates closely with Landmark’s superintendents and landscape managers to implement best practices for soil fertility, irrigation efficiency, and pest management. Known for a hands-on approach and deep technical knowledge, Compton plays a key role in delivering world-class playing conditions and sustainable landscapes for premier golf and resort developments.Compton remains an active member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and other professional organizations.



Chris Hoyer is Landmark’s Golf Course Superintendent at SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, California, where he leads the maintenance, agronomy, and landscape operations for one of Coachella Valley’s most scenic and challenging golf destinations. With a deep passion for turf management and the desert landscape, Hoyer takes pride in creating exceptional playing conditions that enhance the golfer’s experience while maintaining environmental balance and sustainability.
Prior to joining Landmark Golf, Chris built a strong foundation in desert golf course maintenance through his work at Bermuda Dunes Country Club and Indian Wells Golf Resort. Hoyer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, which continues to guide his scientific and practical approach to turf health, irrigation, and resource efficiency.
As an active member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), Hoyer is committed to ongoing learning and collaboration within the industry. He is driven by a genuine love for the game, the land, and the satisfaction of seeing golfers enjoy the results of our team’s hard work at SilverRock Resort.





Charles DeLorey is Landmark Golf’s Director of Golf at The Golf Center at Palm Desert. DeLorey, a Class A PGA Golf professional, joined Landmark in his current role in 2020 and oversees the daily golf operations at The Golf Center. Over the past 28 years in the golf business, DeLorey has amassed invaluable expertise, continuously driving his passion for the game of golf and its growth. In addition to his golf operations background, DeLorey is an accomplished golfer. DeLorey’s amateur career includes qualifying for some of the country’s most prestigious amateur events; Southern California Amateur at Wilshire Country Club, California Amateur at Pebble Beach and Spyglass and the United States Amateur at Cherry Hills Country Club.
In the late '90s, DeLorey made the leap to being a full-time golf professional at Palm Desert Resort. Really showing just how dedicated he was to the game; he obtained his PGA Class-A status in 2002 while working at Bermuda Dunes Country Club. Over the past 20+ years, he’s been lucky enough to work at some of the top golf courses in the desert, Trilogy Golf Club, Landmark Golf Club, and Indian Canyons Golf Resort.
DeLorey has been married to his wife, Janelle for over 26 years, and they share a fulfilling family life with their two wonderful children, Sebastian and Sahalee.




Juan Martinez is Landmark Golf’s Restaurant Director at The Lights at Indio Golf Course. Martinez joined Landmark in 2020 as the Sous Chef at Desmond’s at The S in Rancho Mirage, CA. Martinez began training under Chef Hernandez at Escena Golf Club and Indian Canyons Golf Resort, whose mentorship inspired Martinez to pursue a formal culinary education. While balancing full-time work, Martinez commuted daily to San Bernardino to attend the International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California – Inland Empire, where he graduated in 2017 with a degree in Culinary Arts.
In addition to his work with Landmark at The S at Rancho Mirage, Martinez also co-founded the revamp of Fresco, a culinary concept exploring innovative cross-cultural sushi cuisine during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic which led to projects like the kitchen addition at Chill Bar Palm Springs and the build of Reforma in Palm Springs. His creativity and leadership have continued to grow within Landmark’s Food & Beverage program, where Martinez has served in multiple roles—most recently as Executive Chef at Palm Desert Resort Country Club.
Martinez, a native of Desert Hot Springs, discovered his passion for food at an early age while helping his mother make handmade corn tortillas in the family kitchen. The son of Mexican immigrants who came to the United States in the 1980s, Martinez grew up surrounded by the flavors, traditions, and work ethic that would shape his culinary path. His family’s local produce company and restaurant supplied the Coachella Valley with authentic Mexican ingredients and a diverse range of global products—laying the groundwork for his appreciation of cultural variety in cuisine.
