Ruben Ramirez

Ruben Ramirez is a Coachella Valley native and a seasoned Golf Course Superintendent, Construction/Project Manager and Irrigation Specialist with over 30 years experience in golf course maintenance, landscape installation, construction, and golf management.
Ramirez’s work experience began during his teenage years. Prior to graduating from college, he worked for a local irrigation pipe and supply company learning through hands-on experience about desert high-tech irrigation systems.
After college, Ramirez began his professional career with Landmark Land Company where he supervised the irrigation installation for the Pete Dye Mountain Course at La Quinta Hotel Golf & Tennis Resort. Later he was promoted to Superintendent of the Dunes and Citrus Golf Courses. Ramirez has held top management positions with Bighorn Golf Club, David Evans and Associates and Golf Dimensions. While providing professional services during the development and construction of Desert Willow Golf Resort, Ramirez served as a construction management consultant for the City of Palm Desert.
In 2007, Ramirez rejoined Landmark initially performing as a turf management/golf course operations advisor for The Vineyards Golf Club in Coachella. Today Ramirez is critical to Landmark Golf L.P., specializing in agronomy.
Ramirez holds degrees from College of the Desert where he studied Business Management and Turf Grass Management and earned a Turf Grass Certificate from the University of California, Riverside.
Ramirez, a former board member of the Hi-Lo Golf Course Superintendents Association, served as host Superintendent for four (4) Skins Games at Bighorn Golf Club, the World Cup on ESPN and five (5) PGA Tour events while employed by Landmark.
