to design and construct future golf courses for select clients using
Pete Dye as the designer.
For other extraordinary golf course design, Landmark Golf
joined: Fred Couples to design The Plantation Golf Club, a private
golf club in Indio, California; Schmidt-Curley Design, Inc. to design
Landmark Golf Club, a championship 36 hole daily fee facility in
Indio, California; Gil Morgan and Schmidt-Curley Design, Inc. to

nature and the land.
Johnny Pott, Senior Vice President and Principal of Landmark Golf, golf course designer, five-time PGA Tour champion, Champions
Senior PGA Tour contestant and most notable accomplishment as three-time
United States Ryder Cup Matches team member says the primary ingredients
of a great golf course are:
Setting with landforms and vistas
that allow the golf course designer/architect to create a "theme"
for the golf course.
Shot Value is the coveted result
of a designer/architect creating golf holes that reward the golfer
for placing the golf ball on the target "spots of choice,"
shot after shot, hole after hole.
Mental Replay for each hole is
the desired product of every golf course designer with myriad visual
variations so that the golfer can recall each and every hole long
after the round.
